Diabetes is a severe and long-term condition that occurs when the body cannot produce enough insulin or cannot effectively use its insulin. And it is becoming more and more serious all over the world. The prevalence has been rapidly rising, especially in low- and middle-income countries than in high-income countries. Also, diabetes is a significant cause of blindness, kidney failure, heart attacks, stroke, and lower limb amputation.
In Taiwan & PNG Online Seminar on Diabetes Care, specialists from Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) and Port Moresby General Hospital will discuss the challenges and strategies about diabetes care before and after the pandemic COVID-19 in Taiwan and Papua New Guinea.
